I popped down to the pit area located in on of the Bruce Stadium carparks on the saturday morning to see what i could find
I love how many electronic gizmos race cars have these days
Only a few Evo's had arrived while i was there, this one wearing a few battle scars and showing its age under a few coats of paint
Speaking of battle scars, this fiesta had a premature end to its campain with a spill on friday nights stage
I liked how the tail lights and livery on this Golf matched the sponser logo
This lairy forester was competing in the SUV category, however i didn't spot any other SUV's while i was there
Life is good at the track
The guys at the honda tent knows whats up, a full buffet breakfast provided for a lucky few
The team had their game face on, guess it pays to have a corporate backer
At the other end of the spectrum, all some of the other teams needed was a tarp and a few mates
One of the few rotors present
There wern't many S chassis present either
This particular silvia was piloted by a former drifter, seen the light or on to greener pastures?
Some serious machinery, they fired this up as i was leaving, something i will always love about rally cars is that crackle comingoff boost
This Evo seemed too clean to be ready for battle
Some teams had more back yard means of transport and support...
... While others, had more extravagent means
Thats it from the pit area, unfortunatly i didnt get the chance to head out to the Mineshaft stage, from what i heard it wasnt half bad, I should make it out to rally events more often.
Also, new stickers are on the way and our fancy shmancy online store is in the pipe works so stay tuned!
Stay classy planet earth
